What Students Get From Wednesday Nights

Purpose
Purpose

God has uniquely gifted youth with boldness, the love of truth, and a heart for the lost; those gifts are supercharged every Wednesday Night for real-world impact.
Expect your child to learn how to launch and sustain Bible Clubs, Jesus Rallies, and other missional outreaches.

(see Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 6)

The Unforgettable
The Unforgettable

In Deuteronomy 11, God says that no opponent will stand in His people’s way when they follow His commands, and in Mark 16, Jesus Christ says that wonders will be done by those who are faithful to His instruction [specifically the Great Commission].

We have seen this, and we will see it again this Wednesday.

Vision
Vision

The Wednesday Night atmosphere is for the reception, growth, and application of Spiritual Gifts, as well as ‘ah-ha!’ moments.
Students learn to read and comprehend the scriptures, to pray aloud for their families and friends, and to apply their faith in Jesus for long-term growth.

(see Romans 12:9-21)

Our Focus

Preaching

Preaching the Word of God by studying books of the bible verse by verse to reveal the context, meaning and direct application.

Teaching

Revealing biblical principles to help students mature in their faith by utilizing small groups and discipline.

Empowerment

We empower students to live a life pleasing to Jesus Christ through their words and actions. MStar Students’ Pastor & Youth Leaders regularly encourage and equip students to live a humble, bold, and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ.

Common Questions

Why Retreats?

Retreats provide opportunity for students to ‘dig deep’ regarding their relationship with the Lord while removing distractions from the outside world. Students return with hearts on fire for Christ and ready to serve Him at home & in school.

(see Hebrews 13:9)

Why Verse by Verse?

Teachings are ‘verse by verse’ to provide clarity and contextual truth about what the scriptures have to say. We believe that “every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”

(see Proverbs 30:5)

Why CSB?

We read from and provide CSB translation bibles for the translation’s God-Breathed clarity for youth and its closeness to the original text. We hold scripture as the authoritative Word of God which is “profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, (and) for training in righteousness”.

(see 2 Timothy 3:16)

Why Wednesday Nights?

“…not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.” Wednesday nights are a great opportunity to worship the Lord, fellowship, and recharge during the week.

(see Hebrews 10:23-25)

Why Give?

God calls us to be sacrificially generous with time, wealth and giftings. We believe that “each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.”

 (see 2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

Why Athletics?

The call of God upon each Christian is to “go” and preach the full Gospel to “all” (Mark 16:15).
Each student needs the Savior Jesus Christ, and as a ministry, we empower students to share the Gospel any place they are.

The mission is to see the full Gospel shared by Holy Spirit-Empowered athletes, artists, and mathletes in every campus, classroom, hallway, & huddle.
