Day 1: Godliness With Contentment
Day 1: Godliness With Contentment
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Reflection Questions
- What area of my life am I tempted to place above intimacy with God?
- Am I trusting God as my source or money as my security?
- What does biblical contentment look like practically in my life right now?
My Prayer For Today
Father, thank You for being my provider and source. Help me never to allow blessing to replace intimacy with You. Teach me to live with contentment, gratitude, and trust. Shape my heart so that I desire Your Kingdom above everything else. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
My Confession For Today
Father, I come before You acknowledging that You alone are my source, my security, and my true treasure. I confess that at times I have looked to material things, provision, and outcomes to give me what only You can provide. I repent for the moments I have allowed blessing, comfort, or desire for more to quietly compete with my dependence on You.
Forgive me for the subtle ways I have measured peace by what I possess instead of who I belong to. I release every false sense of security that is rooted in money, success, or stability, and I return my heart to full trust in You.
