My, how time flies! We have heard that said over and over again. You may have said it yourself. We are moving along, and before you know it, it will be Spring and then Easter. What an exciting time this is.

 

Jesus said if I am lifted up I will draw all men unto me (John 12:32). God is true to His Word. For the last five and a half years people have been coming to the Lord here at Morning Star Fellowship, where we have a passion for Christ and for people to know Him—to become a fully devoted follower (disciple) of His. We want to see people connected to God, connected to each other, and connected to the plan that God has for their lives. Easter represents God’s power over death, hell, and the grave. It is because of Christ’s resurrection from the dead that we have the ability to live this life free from sin’s control in our lives; freedom to live out God’s purposes for us; and the reality that our physical bodies may die, but we will live forever with our Savior. 

 

Much has changed in fewer than six years since Morning Star started. We have many healthy ministries in action: Be Kids children’s ministry; R.E.A.L. student ministry; Celebrate Recovery for your hurts, habits, and hang-ups; Angel Food ministry; Connect Group (small group) ministries; Morning Star Men; Morning Star Ladies; Prayer Ministry; Transformed Young Adults; and more. We are also heavily involved in taking the Good News of Jesus Christ around the corner and around the world.

 

I’m saying all that to reveal that God is really in this, and His favor is evident. Our attendance for three Sunday morning services is at 600 people. When looking at our facility, you must be asking: How is that possible? Many of us are thinking the very same thing. We have remodeled, made room, added modulars, doubled our parking (by the way, we are debt free), and now it’s time to build.

 

At our vision casting meeting on Sunday, March 14th, I will be sharing the plans that the executive leadership team is developing as we follow God’s direction, as well as how you can be involved with the future of Morning Star Fellowship.

  

Our Easter service will be at the High School Auditorium again this year—April 4th at 10:00am. Our Easter project this year is India 2010. All of the Easter offering will go to building a church and school in Bhojpura, Rajasthan. Nothing from this offering will be kept for the needs of Morning Star Fellowship. The goal is $20,000. This is a miracle for the Hindu people to ask Christians to come in. Just think—this will be the only church and school in the town of Bhojpura. Together we can move the stone of poverty, persecution, and prostitution! No more 12 year old girls being sold by their fathers and grandfathers. 

 

I am so excited, and I honestly believe we have a great opportunity for the Lord in the Quakertown area and the other parts of the world as we are being directed to see people’s lives changed forever by Christ’s transforming love. I’m asking you to pray with me that people would come to know the Lord personally this Easter and what you will do in faith for India.
