Lead
Leadership…the ability to influence, and through that influence to bring about desirable change.
Look around… Ask around…
What say you?? Is desirable change a need in your home? your work-place? your church? your community?
The success of our service to men through men’s ministry won’t be measured in participation, numbers, or other event outcomes – as important as these can be. Rather, it will be measured by one simple metric. “Is the influence of Christ, brought about by the leadership of our men, being felt in our homes, our workplaces, in our community, and in the country, and in our church?” Another way to say this might be: Is beneficial and desirable change taking place in the world within our reach as the result of the leadership influence our men are exerting? If change which is oriented toward the values of Christ is not happening in our local institutions then our leadership is not effective and we are only superficially successful. It also means that the message of hope and truth which we carry has been marginalized. If leadership which is derived from the influence of Christ is only effective in the church, then perhaps it isn’t effective at all. If the change of Christ’s presence can not be felt in local schools, the local mall, on the ball field, and on the factory floor, then we in men’s ministry have not been effective.
We believe that God calls men to step into positions of beneficial influence in all arenas of life. We also know that many men feel inadequate and insufficiently equipped to provide real leadership. It is our desire to step into this gap and facilitate the offering of challenging, relevant, intellectually robust, and engaging leadership training which can tackle the tough demands of leadership in the 21st century. Beneficial and lasting change, which falls under Christ’s influence can only take place as Christ’s men attain the confidence, the competence, and the wisdom to lead tenaciously and insightfully.
