Be Kids Children’s Ministry of Morning Star Fellowship exists to show Christ to kids by providing a safe place where they feel they belong, can grow and become children of God, and where they can just be kids in a world that has been pushing them to grow up too fast. We invite you to join us every Sunday morning at the 9:30 a.m. and the 11:30 a.m. services. The children’s ministry is under the leadership of Amanda Detweiler, the Children’s Ministry Director.
Infant Nursery
The infant nursery is for children birth through 2 years old. Even at their young age the children here will sing along with praise songs and begin to hear their first bible stories all the while being kept fed, changed, and napped. The head teacher of this class is Tereasa Leight.
Toddler Nursery
The toddler nursery is for children 2 years old through 3 years old. Here, the children will sing praise songs, hear the Bible stories and get to interact with them through crafts and play. The head teachers of this class are Fred and Leane Kratzer.
4 through Kindergarten
This class is for children 4 years old through completed Kindergarten. This classroom functions like a preschool or kindergarten class with various centers and activities to provide a familiar and concrete environment. The class begins with a worship time that all the children participate in together and then they will move in small groups through a Bible story center, a craft and activity center, a play center and a snack center. The head teacher of this class is Barb Layton.
1st through 5th-Graders
This group is for children who are entering 1st Grade through 5th Grade. Here the kids will transition out of the classroom setting and into a service setting where they prepare to experience the church service as teens an adults. This is a high-energy group that begins with an upbeat worship time. From there we move on to our lesson beginning with a video from Kidmo (www.kidmo.com) and then a sermon and fun exciting activity to help the children apply what they have learned. Every class ends with a challenge to go home and practice what they have learned. The head teacher of this class is Amanda Detweiler.
